ABOUT LAURA BROMWICH
Laura Bromwich is a young budding artist from Ontario, Canada. At the age of twenty, she is working towards her four year degree in the Honors Studio Fine Art Program at McMaster University in Canada. Trained in ballet (Vaganova method) she has danced as a member of the Canadian Ballet Youth Ensemble (CBYE) in professional productions with the Kiev Ballet Company. Her greater interest lies in the area of the visual arts, particularly printmaking. Her artistic ambitions have earned her the Artistic Director’s Award (CBYE), an arts scholarship to McMaster University and a SUB30 residency at Proyecto´ace as their youngest accepted applicant. During this residency in Argentina she is learning new, innovative techniques and exploring her attraction to Icons and Graphic art in the realization of her project called “Ghetto Saints”, an exploration of urban and religious icons. Laura plans to host her first solo exhibition when she returns home.
