Artists interested in doing an Artist-in-Residence at Proyecto Žace should download the APPLICATION FORM and fill it with as much as detailed information in order to understand artists'objectives towards the project and residence
. SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM BEFORE DEADLINES
After filling the application form. artists should submit it to info@proyectoace.com.ar any time during the year. However in mind that the selection board will meet twice at year on deadlines January 30th and August 15th and will review aplicattions received up to those dates.
! Note that due to Argentine Summer Holidays, from January 1st to February 15th ussually the studio does not hold residences.

 PROJECT SELECTION
Proyecto´ace´s Review Committee will select high quality projects that fullfill three important aspects: A) Quality of the project in relationship with our goals and artistic focus B) Artist's statement and previous work C) Potenciality to make the project with our facilities and expertises.
 PROJECT APPROVAL NOTIFICATION
After checking date availability, selected projects will be notified to artists before March 15 and November 15th. Notice that - due to the amount of projects recieved- the selection process will take around 2 months.
 RESIDENCY FEE FUNDRAISING PROCESS
The
residence fee is aimed to cover, in totally and partially, all expenses
related to the accomplishment of the artistic project and, generally,
at covering all the costs within the context of the artist stay and the
production & promotion of the artwork. The artist him/herself or co-sponsors at/of his/her country are responsible for the payment of the fee. Since Projecto´ace does not have neither govermental nor private support we are not able to offer grants or fee subventions at this moment. We encourage selected and enthusiastic artists to apply for grants or sponsors in their countries. Where possible, ´ACE will assist the artist with fundrasing to meet the necessary cost of
participations in the program. (E.g. providing letters, documentation,
etc).
Note that the fee generally:
INCLUDES: a) Ground transportations to and fro Ezeiza International Airport. b) Lodging during the residency at Aloj´ace our guest house. c) Most of materials to realize the proposal and up to U$250 (American dollar two
hundred and fifty) for special materials such as digital prints, CNC cuts, photopolymer film,
laser cuts, etc. d) Assistance to the production of the work
through our Master printer and assistants. e) Alicia Candiani tutorilas(in the SUB30 Proghram) f) Access to all communal
working areas, such as: printmaking workshop, reading room, lab, restrooms, kitchen
etc. The artist also has a small studio (The Drawing Room) for
him/herself, computer IBM & Wi-Fi internet access. g) The option of an exhibition with
an appropriate reception, diptych catalogue and opening to show the work produced during
the residence to the Argentine community (PIAR Program).h) The option of a site specific installation at Espacio Transversal (SUB30 Program) i) Other promotion means such as advertising in local art
magazines, Internet, digital sites, etc., j) Breakfast, lunches and snacks in the studio during working days.
NOT INCLUDES: a) Air
tickets and health insurance, visa arrangements, b) plates and printmaking
paper for edition, international phone calls or additional materials and tools.
 PROJECT EXECUTION
The residency
period is of three weeks and the working studio time is from
10.00am to 6.00pm during weekdays. Special projects proposal can cover
either a 2 weeks or 4 weeks period. The studio is closed at night and
on weekends. |
