Alicia Candiani was invited to be part of VOLGEFREI (which means “Free as a bird’), a Biennial of Contemporary Art curated by Ute Ritschel that includes installations, actions and performances in private gardens of houses in the city of Darmstadt in Germany. WintergARTen-the theme of this edition- has many facets. It is supposed to reflect the late time in the year and will deal with the weather, the climate, the light, the darkness and the wintergarden as an architectural structure and as urban "paradise".The biennial includes also the “Art-Climet-Weather” Symposium and the public will be able to visit the art installations until November 11th.
